Ted, a professional scientist who has dedicated over 16 years of research toward resolving the mysteries and myths associated with absinthe has a relentless quest for the unadulterated truth has taken him across the globe in search of obscure, overlooked, and forgotten information that documents this ofte…n maligned subject.
The absinthes recreated by Jade Liqueurs are made possible only because T. A. Breaux and his associates possess immaculately preserved bottles of the most famous original absinthes of the 19th century. Armed with an education and experience in applied analytical sciences, Breaux has worked in conjunction with other accomplished scientific minds in perfecting the sophisticated techniques needed to unlock the many secrets of the original liquor. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Breaux has made significant content and editorial contributions to books, magazines, newspapers, television, and filmed documentaries, and his educated insight is frequently sought by writers, researchers, and historians.

A portion of our proceeds will help send Co-Chair Pam Longobardi’s art to the 5th International Marine Debris Conference (5imdc). 5imdc is the biggest gathering of scientists, policy makers, activists addressing marine debris in the world. The Surfrider Foundation Atlanta Chapter will be among a stellar lineup of other sponsors: Ocean Conservancy, Plastic Pollution Coalition, Oceanic Society. The world will know landlocked Atlantans understand and care about plastic ocean pollution. Pam will be speaking on behalf of artists, activists and water lovers and will be joining together with scientists and policy makers to stop the plastic flow.

Kicks for Causes (aka as Kick For A Cure) will take place on February 26, 2011 at Atlanta’s Silverback Stadium. The kickball tournament will benefit Caring for Causes, a nonprofit organization supporting local charities, as well as Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
The tournament is double elimination this year! The tournament will be day long beginning at 9am-7pm, with spots for 64 teams this year. The brackets will be d…ivided into two divisions: Competitive and For The Cause. Registration fee is $235 per team with an early bird special beginning today until January 1, 2011 and $255 after. Registration ends February 15th.
Prizes will be awarded for champions and the winners will direct proceeds to the charity of their choice. There also are plaques given away for top teams plus fun socials awards. Social awards include best 80’s costumes, most money raised per team, most spirited, traveled furthest distance, and much more.
