Homeless Pets Foundation Event, Churchills of Buckhead @ 6:00pm

Homeless Pets Foundation provides critical medical care, food, foster care and comfort to homeless animals.

With donation of $10 or more you will receive a wristband which allows you to get specials of Free Bacardi and Coke from 8pm to 9pm and $2.50 Coors Light Draft until kegs finished.

Banged Up and Mashed Food Truck will arrive at 6pm and stay all night for great eats and you will also be able to purchase raffle tickets for prizes!

Designated Driver services will be working all night to take you and your car home from Churchills at $2.00 a mile.

All proceeds from wristbands and tickets will be donated to the Homeless Pets Foundation!

It’s time to drink up to green beer, leprechauns and everything Irish. St. Patrick’s Day is basically an excuse to get toasted and party like a rock star!! Expect the celebration to go up a notch since March 17 falls on a Saturday! Below I highlighted everything from in town parties, to family friendly shindigs to out of town trips to one of the country’s best celebrations. I will definitely be out and about at Park Tavern sporting my green and drinking green

Lucky Fest, March 10, 1:00pm @ Park Tavern

What to Expect: Tons of green beer, live music, hundreds in funky green attire and leprechauns running a muck. The band line up includes: Life and Limb, Smothered and Covered, Desire and Unzipt.

St. Patrick’s Day Trip to Savannah, March 17 @ 8:00am

What to Expect: A luxury coach bus will pick up party goers at 8:00am in the Tavern 99 parking lot to head to Savannah. Mimosas will be served up before departure and beer, water and sodas will be provided on the bus. Once you arrive in Savannah the party will begin with the parade and then the group will head to River Street for a pub crawl at one of the top 10 St. Patrick’s Day parties in the country. After a day of slurping green beer the bus will head back to Atlanta at 8:00pm.

The Greatest Yacht Rock Revival in the Universe will soft rock Atlanta on Saturday, August 13 from 3pm to midnight at the East Andrews complex in Buckhead. Brought to you by PleaseRock and starring Atlanta’s own Yacht Rock Revue and the one-two punch of ‘70s icons Little River Band and Ambrosia, the outdoor festival will celebrate smooth music and nautical attitudes on a scale unseen since polyester had its own section at the department store.

Thousands of revelers will enjoy fruity cocktails, two outdoor stages of music under a giant tent and nosh from Atlanta’s finest food trucks. As the evening crests, festival attendees will set the Guinness World Record for “The Most People Wearing Captain’s Hats!” (Seriously.) Nostalgic sets by Ambrosia and Little River Band will be followed by a special guest-friendly set by the Yacht Rock Revue, including legit yacht rockers Walter Egan (Magnet and Steel), members of Starbuck (Moonlight Feels Right) and Peter Beckett – lead singer of Player (Baby Come Back!)

At Amuse’um 2011: Imaginopoly, guests dressed in “playground chic” attire will jump inside a board game as they are sent to and bailed out of a VIP jail, try their luck at chance raffles, play casino games, savor theme-inspired fare by Soiree Catering and Events, and dance the night away on a game board dance floor to live music by Yacht Rock Revue!

Silent and live auctions will provide excitement that lasts late into the evening while supporting the Museum’s mission. All proceeds from the evening support the non-profit Museum’s educational programming and outreach.

Kicks for Causes (aka as Kick For A Cure) will take place on February 26, 2011 at Atlanta’s Silverback Stadium. The kickball tournament will benefit Caring for Causes, a nonprofit organization supporting local charities, as well as Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

The tournament is double elimination this year! The tournament will be day long beginning at 9am-7pm, with spots for 64 teams this year. The brackets will be d…ivided into two divisions: Competitive and For The Cause. Registration fee is $235 per team with an early bird special beginning today until January 1, 2011 and $255 after. Registration ends February 15th.

Prizes will be awarded for champions and the winners will direct proceeds to the charity of their choice. There also are plaques given away for top teams plus fun socials awards. Social awards include best 80’s costumes, most money raised per team, most spirited, traveled furthest distance, and much more.
