Dining Out for Life is Open Hand’s largest annual fundraising event, when thousands of people from all over the metro Atlanta area will choose their favorite participating restaurant and dine out for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner, knowing that 20% or more of their bill will be donated by the restaurant to benefit the community nutrition programs of Open Hand.
Your support and participation helps ensure that Open Hand can continue to deliver over 5,400 nutritious meals every day, provide nutrition education, therapy and coaching, and empower our neighbors to live healthy, independent lives.

8th Annual Atlanta Bar Golf: The 2011 Highland Cup

Atlanta Bar Golf presents…The 2011 Highland Cup
The objective of Bar Golf is similar to real golf…try and achieve the lowest score of the entire playing field. If you’ve played before, the rules have not changed.
As a themed pub crawl, each of the nine “holes” has a line up of specialty drinks testing each golfer’s desire to conquer the hole. Each drink’s degree of difficulty determines his or her score on the hole (Eagle, Birdie, Par, or Bogey).
Of course, what golf tournament wouldn’t provide the ability for each golfer to redeem/penalize themselves through various “Scoring Adjustments” (The Golddigger, The Yearbook, Breaking the Seal, etc).
We will spend 30 minutes at each hole. You must finish your drink and record your score within the time allotted. Tournament officials will give a five minute warning at each hole before proceeding to the next hole.
Although golf attire is not required, it is after all, a golf themed event. So get in the spirit!

Buckhead nightlife just got a little chilly. As of today there is officially new player in the craft cocktail game. Czar Ice Bar is Buckhead’s newest and only bar of it’s kind.
for Czar was created I was still working as the Director of Marketing for the group. Ever since I left I have been eagerly awaiting the opening. When I got word that Czar was set to open in April I was determined to celebrate my birthday (aka April Palooza) there. The owners were kind enough to let me host a private party at Czar 1 week prior to opening to the public. My guests and I were extremely impressed by every aspect of Czar. My friends are still buzzing about this new hot spot.
