My absolute least favorite question is, Tell me about yourself……
Secretly I want to go off on a tangent about how awesome I am and all the cool things I have accomplished and everything I expect to be doing with my life in the next few years. But then I don’t want to be pretentious or be the stuck up bitch that thinks my shit doesn’t stink. Ok so here I go… love me or hate me this is who I am
I am a 26-year-old recovering entrepreneur. I spent the last 5 years of my life building a name for myself and changing the face of events. Sounds great right? Not all the time… working 247, 100% responsible for income, battling a crappy economy and managing sales, marketing, social media, customer service, production and finances all at the same time! I would not change a minute of the smiles, successes, tears, fights, fake people, defeats and struggles. I made a name for myself. I am recognizable for my talents. Not many people can say they owned a company before they were 25. I formed my identity as a mover, shaker and changer in the world of events and marketing.
The entrepreneurial roller coaster led me to East Andrews. For over a year I was the Director of Marketing & Special Events at Buckhead’s leading entertainment complex. I manage the special events at 5 venues (soon to be 6). I couldn’t be happier! After a roller coaster of a year I am about to move on to the text big leap in my life…… (drum roll) I am the new Atlanta City Manager for LivingSocial Adventures aka a badass job!
What else do I do: Attend events, help as many charities as possible raise money through events, connect people, love on my doggies, sip cocktails as much as possible and just love life!
Just because I am a recovering entrepreneur does not mean I don’t have a project or 2 up my sleeve. Stay tuned for the exciting adventure (fashion cultivated with charity)….
