Going to the Chapel

I am guilty of neglecting my blog but for a good reason. Over Memorial Day I got engaged to the man of dreams and ever since I have been in a whirlwind of celebrations and craziness.  Between celebrating, work, the start of wedding planning and everyday life my blog fell to the bottom of the list.  To make up for my neglect I am going to share our engagement story & pictures.

Here is how the story goes…..

We were in Hilton Head for Memorial Day Weekend. We had dinner reservations for 8:00pm on Saturday night at Chart House which over looks the water. As we were driving to the restaurant Brennan realized the reservation was not until 8:30pm. We pull into the parking lot and I suggest we get a drink from the bar while we wait. Brennan suggests we go walk out on the dock and watch the sunset. We walk out on the dock and the sun is setting. I whip out my phone to start taking pictures and he gets annoyed in a weird way and tells me to put my phone away and enjoy the sunset. After watching the sunset for a minute Brennan pulls me toward him and I notice he is shaking. He begins an incredibly romantic and heartfelt speech and proceeds to get down on one knee. My first reaction was to say, “SHUT UP”. He laughs and ask me to marry to him! I was shocked and everything felt surreal. But of course I said YES!! The proposal was more special than I could have ever imagined.

We are both very excited to spend the rest of our lives together. I will share some of our planning and experiences along the way but I promise to not turn this into a wedding blog :)

Were going to the chapel and were gonna get marriieddddd.

Stay tuned: I will be spending next week in Chicago for work and then staying to enjoy the city for the weekend! I will be sharing my chitown adventures :)
