Charity Date Auction @ Tongue & Groove
The LLS Date Auction was started in 2011 by Cromwell Baun and Merrill Beckwith. Cromwell was nominated for Man of the Year and was given the challenge to raise $50,000 in TEN WEEKS!!!! We came up with the idea to have a date auction to raise money for Cromwell’s campaign and help him meet his $50,000 goal. We had men and women contestants, and we auctioned each of them off with a great date package. The event was a HUGE success and we raised more money than we ever expected!!
Due to the success of last year’s date auction, we were asked if we would be doing it again next year. As a result of all the requests for us to host the event again, we decided to make this event an annual event. All the money raised from this event will be donated to the 2012 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man and Woman of the Year fundraiser. The details for this year’s event are:

SONGS FOR KIDS FOUNDATION brings musicians year round to children’s hospitals and special needs kids camps. We integrate musicians into the lives of these kids in need, and the effect has been profound. We are proud and excited to announce that the biggest music charity event in Georgia history is back! 500 SONGS FOR KIDS runs May 3 – May 12, 2012, at Smith’s Olde Bar, where once again 500 DIFFERENT ARTISTS will hit the stage over 10 consecutive nights to benefit Songs For Kids Foundation.
